mmm, everything on your blog looks amazing, hej, jag heter Elsa ..

I’ve had problems with nectarines and peaches getting moldy so I’m washing them and make sure that they’re not stacked on top of each other.

I felt like a 90 years old person when I was pulling my shopping trolley from the supermarket, but there’s no denying that it’s a perfect way to get tons of fresh fruit and vegetables home when the bike is broken.

kcal compared to a calorie?

People use them like they’re the same, but to be precise kcal means kilo calorie, in other words thousand calories. 1 kcal = 1000 calories.

hi i just recently followed, really like your blog :) i was wondering what kind of diet you're on? because i'm doing the raw til 4 thing, eating up to 3000 and keeping to 801010. i am gaining weight, (i get it's part of the process) but it is getting me a bit down. could you maybe share how long it took you to lose weight (if you had to?) and how many calories you roughly consume now?

Hello!

I’m eating 801010, and most days I eat raw till 4.

I’m using cronometer to make sure I eat enough, and to get a hang of the quantities needed to meet my nutritional needs. I have been eating sporadically raw/801010 food for a couple of years but it’s not until now that I’m eating the big/sufficient meal sizes. I also know much more about food combining etc now. As my body has gotten used to the big meal sizes I’ve started to increase my fruit meals to feel full, which makes it easier to get enough calories. However, in the future I hope to get more of my calories from fruit. At the moment I eat about 2000 kcals of raw fruits and salads a day and about 500-1500 kcals of cooked food, usually steamed rice or oven-baked potatoes. Sometimes I cheat and use salt. Just as it was with fruit my taste buds will get used to the slightly different flavors, and without noticing it I will fully appreciate the clean and fresh tastes of plain whole-foods. I would like to eat less cooked and more raw food, but for the moment I’m happy just to lower my fat intake and feeling full after meals.

I haven’t had a scale since I lived with my parents, and have no idea of how much I weight. When I was younger I worried about my weight but now I’ve learned that scales are just bullshit. I’ve been struggling with disturbed eating habits since I was 13-14 years old, and it has gotten worse for every year. This is the first time since that I feel that I am in control of food, instead of it being in control of me. By not being afraid of eating in abundance and working out I’ve started to feel my body started to feel stronger and leaner very soon. But as I said I’ve been sort of easing in to it for a long time. You seem to eat right with most calories coming carbohydrate and eating enough. Make sure to work out/whatever you find fun 2-3 times a week, get enough sleep and stay hydrated. When doing this you will simply feel better. You will be more clear headed, energized and your body will feel strong. I think you should try focusing on this over all well-being instead of on weight. By eating 801010 your body will thrive and find it’s ultimate weight and that is important to remember. It’s easy to think that “now I weigh 70 kilos, I’f I loose 5 that means I’ll be lean” but that’s not the whole truth. You might very well be dehydrated and gain water weight, also fat weights much more than muscles meaning that those lean muscles making you look lighter might add or not lesser your weight.

I hope you found this helpful :)
