Going on tour with Djurens Rätt again tomorrow.
Djurens Rätt is the biggest, and oldest, animal rights group in Sweden. They work mostly with lobbying, influencing the political agenda as a way to improve the life of animals; mainly in the fields of animal testing, increasing the interest in vegan food and against fur farming.
Right now they focus on a campaign called #minröstförminkarna, which aims to make mink fur farming forbidden. The idea is to raise the demands on the environment for minks that the industry no longer will be profitable.
During the summer they campaign across the whole country, to get new members and a greater chance of prepossess the decision makers to empower the animal protection.
If you’re a Swedish citizen you can become a member from the cost of 25 SEK a month, or 100 SEK/year if you’re 26 years old or younger.

My mum always complains over how hard it is to make vegan food and how bad vegan cook she is, even though she makes like thousand different delicious things for each meal. This was a simple dinner she made when were at the country side.

Home-made falafel with lots of fresh coriander and parsley, rolled in white sesame seeds. Served with a tomato and onion salad, rocket salad and dry roasted bread.

I bought it in a health food shop, it was quite expensive though about 100 SEK (13 USD) for 100 grams.

Anonymous asked:
How did you teach your body to eat 10 bananas? I feel so full even after 2

I’ve been eating raw meals every now and then for a couple of years before I started eating mostly raw. In the beginning I ate two-three in a meal. When eating more and more raw I needed bigger portions to feel satisfied. Usually that meant that I ate until I was full and waited a little, as I hadn’t got the calories I needed I was soon hungry again. After a while the body adjusts to the large portions and sometimes you might ‘push’ your limits a little, but not so much that you feel sick, of course, but if you one day don’t feel full of your usual five bananas don’t think that it was easier than usually and stop there. Eat a little more, otherwise you’ll soon be hungry again.
